Noodle Run

At the crack of dawn today, my wife decides she needs her favorite beef noodle from this crazy-good place in San Jose - Bun Bo Hue An Nam - on Story Road. I tell her to bring a few extra things as I will take her on a little 'surprise' road trip after we eat... (Hollister). Now, bless my `lil Vietnamese wife's heart. She's an incredible trooper. I've dragged her on many adventure (she's only been in America for 5 years) and she's loved every one.

Well, almost every one.
A few sound bites from our ride up today...

"OMG!!! Are you kidding??!!... Briannnn Noooo waaaay! You! Are! Crazy!!"
"Jesus oh Jesus... we can't go over that!!... oh...wow... good job Honey!"
"So, you're doing this for fun, or to kill me?!... Wow, it's soo beautiful up here!!"
"The car will break! The car will break!!... My gosh this truck soo soo strong!"

I gotta say, for someone who's never been exposed to 4 wheelin before, she held up pretty darn well. You'll notice almost all of her 'exclamations' end on a positive note. And thank God for that.

High Sierra... here she comes.

Awesome news!! if she can handle the trip to Hector Heights she will be fine anywhere in the High Sierras, unless you try to keep up with Me, Boz, and Cowboy!

Thanks for sharing that! Gave both the wife and I a good laugh! That is exactly how she sounded when we went to AllCal! Now she can't get enough! Look forward to seeing you both at the High Sierra run!

Yea, see I had to try real hard not to laugh myself as she was getting all wiggly about things.
And to tell the truth, I was a bit nervous as I was driving, trying not to whoop or lean to much.
Didn't really want the screaming to begin - that would have been bad.
Hopefully, a few more rides and she'll be wrestling me for the wheel.
