NorCal FJs

FJ Cruisers of Northern California

I am new and have been 4x4'en since I got my 07 FJ. I have already rolled one 07 FJ. Got one more a week later. I love to camp. Any advise would be great. I really want to know where all the best trails in California are. It would also be great to wheel with a group of FJ's.

welcome to the site! wow, if you don't mind me asking, how did you roll your first rig? i hope everyone was ok after the incident. most of the good trails in NorCal are in the Sierras. there are many trails for all levels of wheeling. i would suggest getting your hands on a copy of the Charles Wells or Peter Massey book or check out some of the previous trail run photos or reports. alternatively, provide us with the type of trail (e.g. level, scenic or not, location, etc.) and we can provide you with suggestions. you can also keep an eye out on the NorCal FJ Trail Run Planner...that's where most of the trail runs and socials get posted. in fact, i think there may even be a trail run this coming weekend.
holy moly...just realized you were Mr. FJT...the guy who rolled it in Hollister? long time, no see from the Blue Room and all. welcome, again!
Thanks and it is great to be back. I am doing well. Vertigo is mostly gone. I bought a E3 pop up trailer and have been taking it easy. I need to get envolved with a club or somthing cuz I only know one person that wheels and he is in Reno. Thanks for ideas on the books. I disperse camp a lot. I have some cool spots off of Icehouse Road and 50. I will have to tell you the hole story somtime about the roll over. See ya at a meet..Thanks again for the info.
cool, we usually go the dispersed route as well. Slick Rock is the next one I'm running followed by the High Sierra run...both of which are annual runs. hope to catch up with you soon and glad you are back to or near 100%.
WElcome to the site !!

Sorry to hear about the roll..

Like tater said, WE have lots of planned runs coming up so just keep yer eyes out..
Any advise would be great.
Do not roll your FJ.

welcome to norcalfj.com, so how did you manage to roll it?
I was on West Trail in Hollister in the back of the park. I was parked on curve and the road droped from under us. We rolled about 7 times.
Something similar happened to a co-workers at Hollister, they only tipped it on it side.
Looked up the picture of your rolled rig on the blue room today...WOW!! Real glad you & your friend are OK. Read how it happened too. That'll make you think.
Welcome to the site bro.....look forward to wheeling with you.
Welcome Bro!!! Lets try and keep this one at least on 2 wheels!
