National Public Lands Day - Saturday, September 25, 2010

some of you may have heard about National Public Lands Day and how it offers free admission to most of this state's amazing parks. it is also a day in which we can all volunteer and help restore and maintain some of the parks we frequent.

i highly encourage everyone to conduct a National Public Lands Sites search and find out if there is a volunteer opportunity at a park in your area.

volunteering at parks, campgrounds or on trails is a great way to meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts and work together on a common cause. it is also a very good way to promote responsibility and outdoor ethics as well as dispel the image of all 4x4 drivers being irresponsible and uncaring.
