NorCal FJs

FJ Cruisers of Northern California

The free wireless strikes again. Took the family to a remote outpost (Maui) to conduct a survey of FJs population, color, mods, driver, and a few other factors. Could not raise "4XX4" once we arrived. He might be the only FJ with mods in the survey area. They seem to hide the FJs over here. You need to cruise all the beaches, out of the way shopping locations, restaurants and alike.

Current Survey results:

No FJs on the Toyota Lot - still

15 FJs total

3 black
1 brick
4 white
5 blue
2 yellow
all stock
two with larger tires.
lots of OME brush guards
4 ladies driving (a few with racks)
1 "Dad" driving (survey team provided additional comment on driver)
8 parked
Most do not have racks. Interesting with all the boards on all the Tacos here.
About a third have ads or marketing on the side or back.

By the way - Maui Coconut Porter is very good, but pricey.

thanks for your recon results! LOL.

wow, Maui! first 5AND5TORM, then you. i believe DivnGirl went too or perhaps that was another island. who's next? hope you are enjoying the sun and fun.

that being said, this thread is useless without pics!
Well so much for the pics. Tried to be slick and use the Garman 265wt to upload the pics (left the cable at home) to the laptop so we could load some Maui FJs up and a few Maui actions shots. Gone! no pics or vids. Sad sad sad day. New chip (will try to recover the old chip) and we are back up and running. Now we need to do it all over again. Darn! It is a rough job but we up for it. Will will need to move a little faster.

4XX4 made contact last night. We see if we can do a little NorCal-Maui FJ meet and greet today.
I hit Maui (once) and Oahu (twice) earlier this year...all the while on the look out as well.
I did not see a single modded FJ while I was there, but lots of stockers. Saw a couple cool ones w/ advertising graphics on them. Also saw a lot of mi ties & blue hawaiians.
Lots of older Tacos w/ mods, the Hawaiians like tall lifts with a very wide stance.
yep - Tacos high and wide! lots with plus 6 inches outside the wheel wells. 6 to 8 inches on the lifts....

One nice thing about mi ties and blue hawaiians - they are easy to find, lots of them and very friendly (until the next day!). The peeps are going with lavaflows - cold and slow.
yea my gurl and her family ison the way rite now...was going myself but work and money talks louder....hahhaa but mai thai is good there
