Long Canyon Trail
Hi guys, saw some discussion about this trail posted back in July. If you guys have a trip planned, let me know.
I looked this trail up and have 2 different maps. one shows the trail (11N29Y) dead-ending, however another shows its continuation to Pack Saddle Road. Will have to drive it soon to see which is correct.
Im hoping this is the correct trail? From Hwy 50 at Kyburz take Silver Fork Rd south to 11N18 to 11N29Y and this is called Long Canyon Trail. Am I correct?
We still have time to get together on these trails, and ones off MIT before the bad weather comes in. I do know MIT is not plowed in the winter and they close the gates.
I understand its short notice, but I plan to drive up to MIT this saturday 9/15. Maybe take in few new trails. Anyone interested?
If so maybe we could meet for breakfast at a place on Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines?

You know, I saw that as a page, came up yesterday in a search, however it was dated 2 years ago.
Too bad its closed. Cal Fire and Forest Service change service roads often, especially if there has been a fire recently but also dependant on logging operations.
Reminds me to order latest maps soon.

This is NorCalFJs adopted trail, we do clean-up run several times a year.

Let me confirm with wife and post later, but I would like to drive some trails off MIT.
We could meet on Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines, there is a Starbucks there and a number of breakfast joints.
