FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Winter is coming and days are shorter meaning we spend more time driving in the dark. My FJ has stock and poor driving lights. I can hardly see anything when driving in the evening. I think I need to upgrade the lights or bulbs.
I started with cleaning the lights. It has not help much. What is the next step ?
I found a suggestion for new bulbs: http://www.shopfjparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_82&product...

I wonder if these would help/give more light. If not, I wonder what are the other options. Can anyone advise ? Thanks.

A guy down the street from me wants to sell me some HID's but I haven't done it yet. Judging by the lights on my light bar HID may be a good way to go and I think he even offered them up at a slightly lower price, although, I cant remember what that was.
running another set of driving light?
Yea those will help i have similar once..
The piaas and sylvanias can help.  You will get flashed more consistently.  Expect to replace them more frequently and wear gloves while installing them. I the the piaas in my last truck going to try them again.
i have the IPF Magic Glows (now discontinued) and they are much brighter than stock. i purchased two extra pairs so i'd have backups when they die. a majority of them lasted me a little over a year, so be prepared to switch them out more frequently than stock. i have the stocks handy as backup as well.
Did the FJ come with different lights in different years? My FJ with stock lights gets flashed all the time.
Is it possible that they are aimed to high? I got my FJ secondhand, and the right one shoots a few inches too high.
that is also possible...especially every i put my lift on. i dont know how to fix it. I mean we changed lights setting but I am not sure if it is correct now.
Same here......hmmmmmmmmmmm
Did you lower your lights? You will need to use a long #2 phillips screwdriver, turn the adjuster 12 clicks counter clockwise.
I was thinking the same thing. I usually drive with just my DRLs to avoid getting the high beam flash from other drivers...though I haven't refocused them since my lift.
I was getting flashed even before the lift. Though it is more often now. I can see very well with the stock bulbs.
