Could be more than one thing.. Maybe the sensor is bad and giving you a incorrect reading.. Either way it should not be hard to change or troubleshoot...

I'm thinking crappy gas bad plugs and a failing O2 sensor =(

The emmissions system is under Toyota warranty for a long time. Check your warranty book.

Unless you have modified the exhaust, I think it is a time limit warranty with no mileage limits.

thanks Resty I think I may need to check the exhaust piping and gaskets since the whole thing was apart when the clutch was replaced

remember I've got 85k+ miles on the FJ

I'm gonna climb under the FJ later and see what I can see, bang a few things with a hammer to "adjust" some stuff. =)
Funjunkie and others on FJCC suggested I take it in to toyota and hope for mercy........
