It's a Pulley Party 9/13/09!
Ok, everyone here has had problems with their pulleys, or know someone who has.
If you play in mud, or your just the 7th rig through a formerly clear stream, this is for you.
As we all know, the bearings on the stock pulleys are not sealed on the back side.
Our own Hoff spent the night on the side of the road because a pulley failed.
Fortunately NAPA and their suppliers have an improved version of our pulleys for sale. Our thought is to get everyone together for a mass pulley swap at our office. If your stockers are still good then keep them for trail spares.
No date has been set, although before the High Sierra run would be preferable. This post is to gauge interest in who may want to join us on this one.
We have placed our order with RockAuto for 3 idler pulleys, the belt tensioner, and a new belt.

Well I like mud we all like mud so I'm in, hoping is a day that I can go. But went to ROCKAUTO.com and if we gotta get all 4 parts it'll cost an estimate of $150.00+tax. So let us know when.

Pulleys are not your only problem you got your seals to worry about mud will get to them and crack and next thing you know your got fluid leaks and your asking your self why you go n here and we will say THAT MUD FOR YOU..LOL Ray and I use to always play on mud but we learned the hard way and our seals have busted and after a couple of seals and 1 pulley and we said mud ain't worth it.

I bought from rockauto.com
1) Gates, 36174, Idler Pulley, $47.79 ea.
2) Gates, 36173, Idler pulley, $30.79 ea.
1) Gates, 38411, Belt Tensioner, $71.79 ea
1) Gates, K070834, Serpentine belt, $29.99 ea.
Total = $211.15
If your mileage is low you could skip the belt.
You may find better pricing elsewhere, if so buy it there.

Update everybody,
The official date will be Sunday 9/13 at 10:00 AM at our office.
We are expecting a small group so this should not take too long to complete.
Everything you would need is available from NAPA, or various sources online.
