For anyone not afraid of the traditional reasons for ignition-off security here's the method:

There are four blue relays mounted vertically behind the driver fuse panel. Laying on your back, reach up and wriggle the third one (from the bottom) free and remove (taking note of the orientation.) It may take a rest or two but with patience it will come out.

Remove the blue plastic cover by carefully inserting a thin blade at each end befor pulling on the cover.

Connect the contacts. I used a small piece of metal (piece of wire lug) between the contacts and a small piece of business card behind the movable contact so as not to stress the contacts in case of a demodification (wd?) in the future.

Replace cover, insert relay, enjoy hassle free window ops.

No pics. Unnecessary.

Good job!

I just found and did this mod. Awesome! Thanks for posting it!

can you do this for me Steve while I drink beer and watch

I will go drink beer and watch as well.

It was so easy, I drank a beer while I did it. (only a problem when lying on your back under the dash...)

Sure. Except for the watching. I get self conscious.

I am with Gringo on this one. Come wheeling in SD and you can work on our trucks.
