FJ Cruisers of Northern California

I drove my friends 07 tundra today and it sounds loud and mean. How can I make my FJ sound like that? Is there more than just exhaust that can be enhanced to change the sound?

kn filter and flowmaster super 44

You need to remember though that the FJ is a V6 and the Tundra is a V8. Those extra two cylinders make quite a difference in the noise generated.

The FJ is still going to sound more like a rice rocket than a big ol' truck.

Ya that's what I figured. Well dang. Thanks for the feedback guys!

No prob.

Love the yellow, by the way! :-)

A cold air intake and the TRD exhaust tip...or some Flowmasters

Ok this may sound like a dumb question but an exhaust tip can make a difference? It has a airaid cold air intake and it has a different exhaust system that came on it when I bought it but I don't know what it is and I don't know how to figure that out either.
My dual tip TRD exhaust setup sounds like a small V8 at take off.
Yellow rocks!!!!!!

flowmaster muffler with dual tips, a k&n drop in made it sound a little deeper but i still think its awesome

cut the muffler off and weld on a tip done lol

Lol!!! Definately louder then!
Could always go over some granite and bend the exhaust tip up like I did. This way, your exhaust is aimed right into the window of the car next to you. Works well! :)
