FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hi!! Just thought I might as well sign up since I have been lurking around here for a while.First off, my name is Rob. I bought my FJ new in 2007. I love it!! Mods so far include, All Pro 3" lift with Fox adjustable coil overs. Inchworm Lefty Double Transfer Case (this was added in my absence, Yokohama Geolander M/T Plus Tires in 305/70/R16.
I plan on doing more to it, just not sure when.
As far as I go, I started working on Toyota's around 1975 and eventually went to work for Lexus. the time spent between the two, is about 24 years. I left as a Toyota Master Tech, A.S.E. Master, and Lexus Master Tech. I was looking for a different challenge, and went to work for Universal Technical Institute in Sacramento as an Education manager for a couple of years. Eventually I took an Instructor position with them where I taught, among other things, The Toyota courses.
I really enjoyed it, however, I was offered another challenge, and now I am in Iraq, working with our soldiers. Since I cannot drive my FJ here (which I have not seen since January) I thought, I might live the off road experience vicariously through others with FJ's. I hope you don't mind!! I would love to go wheeling with you when I get back, sometime in March 2010.
Thank You
Rob

Welcome Rob.
I’m relatively new to the site myself, great people here though.
Your FJ is awesome, hope to see you state side on the trails one day.
In the meantime, thank you sincerely for your services. Godspeed.
Welcome Rob. The seasons are finally changing here and unfortunately the summer wheelin is over. We do have the TLCA Surf and Turf run first week of November so should be some great shots of a few hundred Toyota's running around Oceano Dunes.

Look forward to meeting up with you when you get back. Be safe out there and thank you for your service! I too will be buying you a beer when we you get back.

Take care,
PBn'FJ

Hey welcome Rob take your time we will always be here. I bet you miss the FJ??? I know I do especially when I go on a vacation. But hey welcome again and hope to meet you someday
Thank you all!! Sounds like a fun group.
I really look forward to meeting you all. I appreciate your comments and the offers of beers!! Can't have alcohol here, so when I get back, I will definitely be enjoying a few with you.
I do have one question, my friend Michelle has my FJ, and Is allowed to wheel it. Problem for her is not really anyone to go with much.
Do you think it might be alright if she went along on some of your trips. She would join of course.
Thank You all again.
Respectfully
Rob
Welcome! Hope to wheel with ya, and grab some beers when ya get back. Have Michelle create an account and join us for a run we've got a few run coming up. Stay safe and get back soon!
of course, tell her to sign up for the site!
