Does anyone have any info in rewiring my stock driving lights. As of right now I have to turn the switch on and it only works with the high beams. I want to be able to simply turn it on and off regardless of low or high beams. Any info would be appreciated.

Do you mean the Daytime Running Lights?
The trail team trucks came with a pair of Hella 500's on the bumper. I think that is what he is looking to rewire.
OIC thanks. You in Japan now?
Yep in Hiroshima right now.
I am not sure but I believe they are wired up to a fuse (or circuit) that is only hot whne the lights are in the hi bean mode. Maybe see where you fuse for those light are on the fuse block and use a test light to see when the fuse plug is hot.

I would also hope there is some kind of relay but I am not sure.. hopefully someone who has done this before will post up...
I've done this. There is a good writeup on it in the Blu Room

You have to pull a wire on a connector in the cab and ground it and then do 1 of the 2 relay hacks

I did the relay hack in the 3rd post in the thread.

The only thing to note is that if you do this the circuit is always hot, so you have to remember to turn them off, they won't turn off like the headlights if you lock the truck and auto shut off.
I'm curious to know why this is done.
If I need to run my aux lights, I do so because I need as much light as possible, so I would want my high beams on as well. Is this done because, "I'm American dammit, I don't need no stinking foreign car telling what to do" or is there some thing I am missing?
I believe it has something to do with state laws and not being able to turn on more light than allowed.. But I am not 100% on this either..
Why do people need to turn them on with out high beams on?
I wired mine to the fog lights in my ARB bumper, hence why I want the ability to turn them on anytime.
yeah fog lights, that makes sense, one of the reasons I wanted to get the sPOD.
Thats a good question
