Help me find a NEW Trail Teams Edition FJC

What's up DOC?
Are you looking for an 08 or 09?
Have you tried to contact a dealer to see if they can find one for you in the system? The dealer I went to (Hayward Toyota) does trades w/ other dealers. They were able to tell me where and how many were available.
Have you searched www.autotrader.com?

I just bought my Voodoo Blue FJ last week. My dealer told me there were no Trail Teams editions left in the bay area - it was my first choice. I'm lovin my blue, though!

Hello Doc!
There aren't any brand new Trail Teams edition. I bought my FJ in late September and like you I was looking for the same. I figured with the economy I could have gotten a steal. Anyway, I scored up and down California for a new one. There was one available in Manahattan Beach Toyota, but it had sold the week before I had contacted them.

I did find one, but the dealership owner was letting his wife drive the thing, and it had quite a few miles on it. They sales manager told me that he didn't think the wife of the owner was ready to give it up, but he could forward the message and hopefully sell it to me as a new demo model.

As for 09 models, I had contemplated waiting for one to come out, but I was informed that because of the economy and price of gas, Toyota was slowing down production of the Trail Teams for 09. I could be misinformed, but that's what I was told. Anyway, happy FJ hunting!!!!

They have two black ones and three silver ones total.

Thanks for all of the replies, sorry I haven't got back here sooner. I've been working some crazy hours.

Mark, I was looking for an 08 because I didn't think the 09's were going to be available for a while. Started looking around at the dealers in my area, but because of lacking sales, they really really want to sell whats on the lot. And not talk about what others have. How's things been?

Fakken FJ, you'll have to pull the supercharger out of my cold dead hands, best mod ever! Thanks for the help!

Blue Willy, that's what I'm afraid of, might have to go with a second choice as well.

daPtibull, unfortunately this one's not going to be for me. Ever since I bought my FJ, my parents won't stop talking about it. It's for my mother, whom has never been off roading before we attended the first annual toyota trail teams invitational last year as a birthday retreat for her. Now she's in the market for a new car and the Trail Teams FJ is what she has her sights on.

SaDominatrix, thanks for the info. I know Toyota has a new TRD 4x2 coming out next year, but I haven't seen anything official on the trail teams editions. I know they were supposed to make the arctic white available as a color option along with a new gunmetal color that looked sweet.

If you are interested call Thurston Toyota 707-462-8818. Talk to the sales manager, and ask him if the owner(or his wife) is still driving it. I don't know if they have it anymore.
