FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Just wanted to say Hi....got my new 2010 TT the day after Xmas.

I've always liked the vintage FJ40 and I stare everytime I see a nice specimen but I am not mechanically inclined so when Toyota came out with the FJ Cruiser in 2007, I thought they did a great job of designing and capturing elements from the original FJ but without the worry of it breaking down.

Shortly after, I went to a dealer and saw the price is reasonable, especially given the fact that they were made in Japan but never thought I would end up with one. My wife told me that you always look at them so why don't you get one?

Fast forward to Xmas 2009, and here I am :)

I really don't know much about 4WD vehicles and have never went off roading as I'm used to driving compact sports cars so I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here.

I know I'm going to be asking some dumb questions so please forgive me, I'm not just a FJ newbie, but a 4WD newbie, too! :)

haha, SS looks great dirty.
but it's BRAND NEW, less than 100 miles!!!! :)
Resty and I were at the dealership this afternoon, so i snapped a photo. only differences that we noticed were the following:

* back end (windshield side) of the vinyl wraps under the lip of the hood
* there are cutouts for the wiper nozzles

let me know if you want the full size camera photo.

thanks, I want to see if it follows the body line in the hood better at the front then I have seen. If the aftermarket vinyl is applied as shown it should follow it better.
Where did you see this TT?
this one was at Sunnyvale Toyota...$31,355 on the innernets...$32,+++ on the lot.
I wish I had waited because when I got mine the day after Xmas, no one else had it in the Bay Area so it was hard for me to haggle. I paid $32,300 plus taxes, etc. I wanted to take advantage of the new car tax deal for 2009 :(
Howdy!
Howdy right back! :)
Welcome to the site!
Thanks C4B Rocks and 4x4CruiserGirl! I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here! :)
