I am looking for an easy to use GPS app for iPhone. I dont need off-road trails, just regular GPS.

Any recommendations or suggestions ?

Look in the app store under catagories -> navigation.  There are some good reviews there.  For free ones I have used MapQuest and Waze, and both are good.  The Waze one is pretty cool in that it is updated by users, so it alerts you of police traps and accidents.  MapQuest has voice turn by turn directions, and can tell you where local restaurants, gas stations, etc are.  Best part is that they are free so if you dont like them, just delete them!  For paid, I have only used TomTom and it was pretty damn good.
TomTom sucks, not only does the software blow, they also gave user info to the police about where people speed
damn thats shitty, I only used it cuz I got a free trial. Come to think of it I remember it freezing up alot. Now I just use my in dash Garmin and its awesome! How you been BZ, havent seen you in a while?

I'm good, just got back from Texas last week. Garmin is the good stuff!

I'm not a fan of TomTom, but there is more to this. TomTom as far as we have been told has not done this in the US.

TomTom is collecting anonymous user info which is in the terms and conditions. They are then selling the info to governments to provide information on traffic patterns which in turn should help develop infrastructure upgrades (new roads, traffic calming, or signal alteration for bottle necks).

The fact that the Dutch police took the data to setup speed cameras isn't out of scope for the data collected while it sucks there might be reasons we don't know however I due suspect it is to increase the revenue (Never trust the Dutch -Nigel Powers).

Understand due to e911 requirements this data is already collected here in the states by your wireless carrier. In California for example  this data while anonymised is collected and sent to various agencies to track traffic patterns and provide real-time traffic data in addition to the induction collection that CalTrans installed in most of the freeways.

i like Tom Tom...Club.
I'm using MotionX GPS for both my iPad and iPhone and I LOVE it.
I have a TomTom  910 with a built in 30GB for the Prius...it sucks ( yes the Prius & the Tom Tom).  Christine has a  Garmin.  We take that thing everywhere it works great, but it did get me good and lost in St. Petersberg Fl. a few years back.  Now I use the sun, the wind and my trusty dash-compass.  I'll get there at some point, just not on time.
What I like about motionx is the ability to download an area of any size resolution to your iPad before taking the drive. Then when you lose signal in the boonies, you can still see the map.
i just use Google Navigation. only complaint is the ability to auto re-route according to traffic in real-time, but i just check the traffic overlay beforehand.
Ok. I have purchased Navigon. It is $30 for western us and it takes 1.5 Gb on my iphone but so far I like it.
My father uses this and like it a lot, he uses it when flying.
