Does anybody have the allpro heavy duty steering kit?  I'm in no position financially to buy one now but just wanted some feed back.  Are there other options available?

My motivation behind this question is fear that I will brake something and not be able to make it home.

I hope they sell a lot of those. It will make it easier to find stock parts for cheap.
Good point Steve. OEM as a backup. If you could find a salvage yard that had them that would be a good option. Your always thinking.
Given this some thought and I might just carry some spares.

Dapit and I were talking about the allpro heavy duty steering and Dapit made a good coomment about missing up the main steering component. So purchasing the oem seem to be the right way to go. by purchasing the allpro you can miss up your main steering component.
So who's missing?
lol meant messing up the component...arse..
Miss up?
C4B is a miss
No matter what you will simply move the weakest point to somewhere else in the system. I believe that where Pits coming from..

Better to change a tie rod on the trail than a steering box..
I was considering getting these until I was told by "Baja Mike" at Kartek Off Road that they are a waste of money and that All Pro use junk heim joints. This came from the guy I wanted to buy them from. He went on to say that a friend of his has a pre-runner Taco w/ every aftermarket goodie, a very heavy wheel/tire combo, but still has the stock tie rods.
All good information and thanks for helping me come to a conclusion (carry spares). Now if only I could find a rear spring that's about 17.5-18.0" tall and is 15-20% stiffer than stock, I'd be close to finished....

FYI - the AP 3.5" rear spring is 17.0" and 15% stiffer than stock.
so yea I think the AP would be our best bet for now or get a custome spring which will cost double the price.
