Feature Upgrades

The following features have been upgraded today: video player, photo player and chat.

The video and photo players are more dynamic and are easier to control. You can also pop-out the players and share them more easily.

The chat feature is now located on the bottom of your screen allowing for easier access to chat information and accessibility. An audible alert has been added for new chat notifications as well as a pop-out feature and easier means to toggle your chat presence on or off.

i have come across a bug, which i will address with the folks at ning, that all of you should be aware of. when you set up a private chat with someone, be aware that your chat log will be erased once you navigate away from the webpage you are on.

the best way to remedy this issue in the meantime is to "pop-out" the chat box so that it opens in its own window. that way, you won't lose anything in private chat and you can even navigate away from the norcal site and still remain on chat. pretty cool.
