FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hi guys

Just wondering if anybody has already tried to export an FJ to Europe.

I have been driving mine for 5 months through the most fantastic sceneries in the world, and would not like to miss it back in Europe

Cheers

I think you would need to contact either the local Embassy of the country you plan to export to; or contact the Dept of Transportation in that country to find out legal requirements to do this.

Real consideration for driving purposes is whether the steering wheel is on the correct side for your country.

I would also say that fuel requirements and replacements parts would be no problem in most countries.

The resale price of that vehicle in a country where Toyota didn't export these to could be very positive if there is an otherwise decent 4x4 sales market.

Good Luck, and post us pics.

have you googled it yet?

Sorry, was out of Internet yesterday in Beatty, so I am answering now ...

I was wondering if someone knew this Dutch firm SCT or USCarShip Inc. They seem to have a lot of experience, but their Quoting is not working, and very very slow. I am desperate to get the right prices from them.

If I cannot get a decent quote from them (I also asked three more shippers), I shall have to put it in storage (again) or sell it ....

Thanks for your reply, Steve

I do know the country quite well, spent the major part of my life there :-) and taxes are no concern, as there is a unified European Import Tax Agreement where all countries of the EU have to adopt.

Steering wheel is on the right side - not the wrong side :-) Replacement parts, yeah, I can always mail order them from the USA - Fuel well no problem there as well.

There is a booming 4x4 market specially in the Ardennes - that's a rough countryside spanning 5 counties: Belgium, France Germany, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. I know of many 4x4 lovers meeting up in this area. And to be honest this is one of the reasons why I want to export my EffJay

I shall post many pictures. Promised.

I would have loved meeting up with you guys at some point, but alas - made over 3000 miles in the last 75 days through CA, NV, AZ, UT, NV, CA, and am getting ready now to return

I whish you all well, and until a next time

Georges
