this is a tutorial on how to use the NorCal FJs Music Player on your page. note: your music player only plays MP3 files. iTunes (AAC) files must first be converted to MP3 files to play on your music player.

please feel free to ask questions as necessary. stay tuned for more tutorials in the Did You Know (DYK) series!

I now need a tutorial on converting itunes format to mp3. Googled it, but right clicking to convert doesn't appear as it did in the online instructions.
if you have any blank media (CDRs) laying around, please follow the instructions below. essentially, you'll need to burn your .aac files onto a disc and re-import them into iTunes as .mp3 files. follow these directions to set up the mp3 import:

1) In iTunes, go to Edit > Preferences > General
2) Click the Import Settings... button near the center
3) For Import Using, choose MP3 Encoder
4) For Setting, choose the quality you want
5) Click OK

when you re-import the music file, it will convert the .aac file into an .mp3. you will see a duplicate song title appear in your library. one is the .aac and the other is the .mp3.

to add the music file, follow the instructions above. you will find the .mp3 file you re-imported in your iTunes music folder. only compatible files should appear, so you will not have to worry about importing the wrong (.aac) file.
Success!!! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks - just takes a bit longer. Thanks for the above tutorial & added instructions Steve. Now I'll fry the other half of my brain on the Embedded Photos lesson.
nice! cool tunes...i've already borrowed a couple! :-)
That's what I need to try...borrowing. There's some good stuff I've seen from others I'd like to add..
