Custom made roof rack!

Making my own custom roof rack, just got it all tacked up. Still gotta weld it and weld my hijack, shovel and ax mounts on it then paint it. What do you guys think? Would anybody buy somtin like this, I'll put more pics up when I'm done!

Clean lines, curious to see the completed rack. What are your plans for load bearing floor ? Rails like the stock rack or maybe a mesh floor? Thought about incorporating a light hoop on the front, or a wind deflector with light tabs? Overall projected weight of rack? Hmmm...

So far it's very light, that was part or my overall objectives so I can take it on and off by myself. Right now I haven't weighed it yet but I can lift it with one hand and I'm not a very big guy so it's still pretty light. As for a light bar ill see what I'm gonna do with that when I make all my mounts.

damn chance that looks pretty good! reminds me of the all-pro one!! i might buy something like that if the price was right and i could actually store stuff up there unlike the stock rack

Hey so here are what the cross braces look like, they are 1 1/2x1 .120 wall and so is the light bar in the front so they are strong enough to put anything I wanted up there! On the floor under is what I'm gonna choose for the bottom, either expanded metal on the left or rivet aluminum diamond plating on the right... What would you guys pick? And now to weld it and make all my tool brackets.
