FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hey all,

A few of us are still hungry for more trails after our amazing meet last weekend, so we thought of venturing over to Cow Mountain OHV near Ukiah.

Here's a link to the BLM site for the area:

Here is a link to a PDF map which includes trail names and difficulties! You may want to print this out but they probably have them at the gate:

Post up if you're interested and we'll see if we can get a group going. :)

UPDATE: Let's meet in front of the Northgate One Starbucks in San Rafael @ 8AM. It's just off the freeway and shouldn't be too hard to find. Here is the location on google maps:

Starbucks @ Northgate One

If this is out of your way meet up with us at 101 or shoot for 10-10:30am at Cow Mountain.

There is no on-site air so bring a compressor or tank if you can. There are gas stations near by so that may be good enough.

Roster:

1. Aeon
2. Robo
3. GHOST (maybe)
4. RJAMSOIL
5. Overlander36
6. LuvDirt (maybe)
7. Blowtorch Betty (maybe)

Aeon, are you considering a one day outing or a camping weekend in the area (not necessarily in the park itself)?

Hey Potato!

I was just thinking of a day trip this time. What did you have in mind? This is on a Sunday so I'd assume maybe you were thinking the night before?

mmmmm, that's a bit tempting. :)

just threw it out there for something to consider...nothing specific in mind.

Updated roster and added meeting location! Let's hope it doesn't rain too much before Sunday. I think it should be clear.

Updated with a link to the Cow Mountain OHV site and a map of the area that includes trail difficulty levels.

OK - this is up my way so I'll try to go. I'll confirm later this week. I'd pick up the group just north of Healdsburg from the side of the freeway.

Excellent! :) Seeya on the highway.

It's all dirt/rocky/gravel roads so if you air down to assist you in traction you should be fine. The storm isn't supposed to dump allot of water so you guys should be fine. But check on their website to be sure, they do close it down if the trails are too wet. Have fun, me, I have to work  : (

You're probably fine if you air down. The trails are labeled and rated so you can gauge yourself on the lighter trails.

Updated.. pushed the time back. Lets shoot for 8AM at Starbucks which puts us at around 10-10:30AM at the gate of Cow Mountain.

How is Cow mountain with a stock truck?
