Coming to Hollister's in July 2010...
So the wife and I have started filling up our calendars with places to visit this year, we have a wedding to attend in San Francisco in late July and figured it would be a good time to take a week or so off and detour down to Hollisters for 2 days or so, maybe even camping while were there. It would be our first time at Hollisters. At this moment, it looks like we would arrive at Hollisters area on July 28th, and hang out there for about 2 days.
Coming down from Oregon, is there anything we need to know to go wheelin' down there? We have our Oregon OHV permit on our FJ but what do we need while in Ca? If anyone would like to meet up with us at Hollisters that would be great also, we'll be there with our 13 year old twins (boy and girl)

hi Rueben...not sure if you saw my response to your post in the Blue Room, but no you do not need a special permit to wheel Hollister or any of the SVRAs in CA. just need valid license and registration, plus the gate fee to the park. additional fees are required to camp.
let me know if you have an exact date in mind and i'll add it to the NorCal FJ Trail Run Planner. some us usually go on an extended weekend trip around that time, but there are many others who will probably join you. let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello. Yes I did see that, thank you and thanks for your quick responce. The wedding is on Saturday, this is why we will be showing up during the week.

cool...less crowded on weekdays. be sure to call Hollister Hills SVRA in advance to make sure there are no closures on the days you wish to visit.
so i'll put down the 28th and 29th as the days you are planning to be there. cheers!
