Do you know of anybody that did it? Also, if several people are interested we could even have them cut in the appropriate size/shape.

No I do not know anyone who has done this. 

 

Seems like something pretty easy to put together. Just measure and cut. Find some kind of plastic tub's for underneath.

Yes I think I will do it. The original thread on the Blue Room has links to a website with tubs of the very appropriate size.

 

Should be quite simple actually but I'd like to find a way to "bolt it down"...

I am sure you can bolt it down through the plastic.. Might not be the best way but at least it should keep it from sliding around.. I think that the original idea was to have to have it fit tightly when everything is closed..  

Of course bolting it down would not be a bad thing. Maybe even just a couple of screws into the plastic..
