So you picked up a power tank or some other C02 system, yet you have no idea where to get it filled.

Well look no further then Carbonic Service in Santa Clara. These folks understand what a power tank is in fact they are now a dealer. They are probably one of the best places price wise in the Bay Area to fill a tank, my 10 lbs tank was 14 dollars to fill the last time I had it filled.

They are located at 1920 De La Cruz Blvd Santa Clara, CA 95050

Update: Price went up a little 17 dollars now still a deal.

Also found out that they are now doing in house hydrostatic testing of CO2 tanks. This is great news since they no longer have to send your tank out which can take up to 2 weeks. This is important since your CO2 tank is required to be tested every 5 years.

WEll I have never used them but Tater has told me great things about them..

Waiting for that sale on power tanks !! .
There is a guy in San Jose selling a 10# PT for pretty cheap. Look in the NorCalTTORA.com for sale section and you'll see his post. Offer him $200 and I bet he takes it.
Hey I've checked that forum but I was not able to find that offer. Do you remember the name of the guy or the title of his post?

Thanks!
Alessio
Here you go. He's asking $300, but I bet he'd take less.

It was recommended to me by Steve and it worked great. 14.09$ for 15lb tank.
Just call them before you go there since sometimes the guy who fills tanks is in the field.
So how have you modded the truck like? Did you start from a CO2 tank? After quite some mods I still do not have a way to inflate my tires (tank or compressor) nor a hi-lift jack...

I'm really undecided. The tank is great but it takes up to much space and it's very expensive both to buy and to refill...
depends on what tank you get. you can build your own..

I got mine on a group buy from the blue room for $220.00 delivered.

For me this was the cheapest way to go. Since I really will only use it to inflate tires.
Yes but you could buy 4 much smaller compressors for that money... that is why I'm undecided.
Yes but even with your 4 smaller ones at 50.00 each, you will not have that long of a duty cycle and they can overheat. The tank is WAY faster to fill up all four tires. You can also reset a tire bead with a Co2 tank. This was tried and accomplished at Surf n Turf when we reset Hectors bead. Try that with a $50.00 compressor. More $$ compressors may be able to accomplish this, but I am not real sure.

Of course the limitations of the tank are that its a finite supply, takes up space inside the cabin and has a tendency to ices up the hose and regulator (at least this has been my experience) after about six tire fill ups. Of course with a more $$ regulator this problem can also be over come,

For me the tank was the best choice because if I ever get my 40 going it will be easy to use in both without buying two complete air systems and it gave me the most bang for my $$..
