Can't seem to get rear axle down far enough for new springs!

How much bigger are the springs? I installed some 2.5" larger springs easily. If I remember correctly, I had a friend put some of their weight on one end and I went under and slipped the spring in, then did the opposite side.

Use a bottle jack to force down one side at a time.

I use a floor jack and lift the opposite side from where I am working. Sounds like you have it handled though.
