FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Somebody (potatomutato? I do not recall exactly) once told me instead to buy a new cabin air filter (cost: 20+ bucks) there was a way to use some much cheaper stuff one can buy at HomeDePot. How was that? Frankly after all the dust we collected in High Sierra I want to get rid of the cabin filter I have right now :)

I bought this WEB 20 In. x 30 In. x 1 In. Electrostatic Furnace/AC Filter filter from Home Depot and made six FJ cabin filters out of it.

I used the plastic mesh to hold the filter element then added a Gardenia air freshner sheet.

I drilled two holes to secure the plastic mesh in the cabin filter holder.

leave it to NDA to come up with another cool DIY project!
better set up than mine. I will reengineer mine (and hers).
