I just got some Bilstien 5100 coilovers from toytec lifts and they are awesome. I picked them up for around $650 + install. They are very stable at speed and are awesome off road. Hope this helps!

I agree with Orca,  I really dug my 5,100's ride over my spacer lift.   To go this route you also need 2" taller springs if you want to lift it.   I never had one fail or break.   I used my stock sping on the front.

Next in line,  I would look at 2.0 (Walker Evens, Fox, ect)  Then it is no longer relevant to your question.

well i want to do long travel in the future and i an now runing the toytecs just wondering if i am better off getting some saws or we. apperantly i wheel harder then i think i do.

Upgrading to either of your choices will leave you "better off".

so now that i have narrowed it down any one have inputs i see nestah just got we and i know kara runs the saw's.

Saws, Icons, Fox are all very good, and pretty similar in performance.  What you will notice from these most is the improved on-road ride and smoothness while going fast in the rough stuff.

Off-road, the Toytecs and OME will serve you well.

I want to raise the front to level with rear and like 5100's.

Just want to clarify, makes sense I would need longer springs as well, but Bilstein site states I can still use my existing OEM front springs to level front.

What do you guys recommend?

For the front,  just use your stock spring.  The 2" longer spring I mentioned was for the rear.

Ok, thanks.

Hey guys, there is a decent write up of an  07 FJ in Petersons 4WD mag (nov 2012 if you is a subscriber)

Page 78, this guy is running Walker-Evans 2 1/2 inch coil-overs and All-Pro off road upper control arms. Old Man Emu HD rear springs with Walker-Evans 2.5 series shocks and custom control arms. Looks interesting.

I am at stage one with my TTSE, and my shop in Sac is Central 4wd, they do a great job, mostly Jeeps, but all 4x4's.

Steve.

If I'm setting to 3rd groove (1.75") to level, is that enough change to require an alignment?

Any lifting or lowering changes alignment angles so yes alignment is needed.
