Me and my brother might be out there. Just give me a call 916-320-0927. We might go fishing but really wanna go wheeling also. Last weekend we went up hwy 49 but way too much snow.  Last time I was out there the obstacle course area was closed but everything else was open. But once it gets done, looks fun and challenging.
I'll be at PC tomorrow evening for the VORRA races.  Race in on Sun.  practice tomorrow.
Did not realize that. hmmmmm.......I have never been there during a VORRA weekend. Gonna have to give PC a call tomorrow. I wonder if there is going to be a place for us to wheel or not.
Good call. They didn't post anything on the website, but I'll call in the morning as well.
VORRA has their own track there, which is off limits all the time.  The 4x4 site will be open for wheeling
Thanks for the info.
It was nice meeting you Grif and your son. It was great just chatting and hanging out. We need to hit a couple of trails before you redeploy. Take care and see you around.
Hell yeah, man. That was good times. I never would have thought a stock FJ could make it up those stairs! Next time I'll be out on a real trail with you guys. Hit me up next time you guys roll out. And bring the dog.
so are they still doing a lot of work to PC? did you guys get to putt around much at all?
They only had a portion of the obstacle course open while we were there. Still had a great time and even met and helped a guy named Eddie get his rock buggy off the rocks. The VORRA races were practicing so they closed off a lot of the park but sections here and there are under construction still anyhow. From the looks of what they are planning to put in place, it will be great once it is all said and done. As of right now, PC is really our only option for wheeling. Last weekend me and my brother traveled up HWY 49 to HWY 89 to I-80. Every trail that I know of is under a least 4 ft of snow.
The ranger said that the rest of the obstacle course would be open next weekend.
cool, thanks for the update! Grif, when are you shipping out? perhaps we can get another social going in Sacto before you take off.
