this year, the 2nd Annual AllCal Meet will be held in Northern California at Hollister Hills SVRA. we moved the NorCal edition into the middle of summer because we plan on changing venues every other year and we need to make sure the snow has all melted (snow still blocks most of the popular trails in the Sierras).

* admission for one vehicle into Area 5 (base camp)

Hollister Hills SVRA provides numerous trails of all levels as well as two obstacle courses. In addition, the park has a separate, much larger trail system for motorcycles and ATVs. The Area 5 group campground can accommodate over 100 vehicles. It has flushing toilets, hot showers, fire pits and a stage. These facilities were made possible by our friends at the local TLCA chapter, Mountain Transit Authority.

More details will be made available within the coming days.

Who's up for a Pre-run of Hollister?
I'm up for one. Might as well since I'm pretty close. It would have to be on the weekend though... I got work during the week.
Not often.
funny guy Steve!

Sometime soon. As I am self employed I'm down for a Mid-Week run. Next weekend isn't gonna work I'll be wrenching on an FJ...
Took the family for a spin around the park sat. Lots of new obsacles in the area by the frame twister.
I'm not free to go till the weekend before all cal sat 7/24.
there has been talk about possibly adding another night (Thursday night) for those who may want to take Friday off and leave after work on Thursday. if we get enough folks interested, we'll look into reserving another night. let me know!

also, if some of you are not into the camping thing, the town of Hollister has some lodging as does Gilroy (Garlic Capital of the World) and Morgan Hill. for those who may not want to wheel both days and are looking for something else to do for a few hours during the day, there are six wineries within a five mile drive of Hollister Hills if you are interested in wine tasting.
I am down for getting there on Thursday Night.
Sounds like a plan, I'll shoot over thurs afternoon
don't count on it yet. first, we need to make sure we have enough people to justify another night of rental fees for Area 5. so far, we only have three people interested and i would imagine we'd need about 15-20 to warrant it.
If it's only a handful of people though, they could still get individual campsites for Thursday night.
right...just not in Area 5. given the fact it's a Thursday, they probably wouldn't have any problem getting something in the park...just didn't want anyone to think that it was going to be Area 5 and free.
No worries Tater, it's only $10 to camp
