i'm a fan of the Trails Illustrated maps as well as the smaller Trails series editions of the NorCal regions. there is a larger book (Adventures series) that covers all the regions in NorCal, but the paper stock is heavy and it is not very convenient for spot route-finding and such while on the trail...works better for pre-run research. i'm not familiar with their other offerings (software, etc.), but they seem pretty cool.
