FJ Cruisers of Northern California

So I finally have bought a vehicle... far from anything I would have originally considered, but after speaking with the original owner of 24 years, it was an easy decision.

I was originally wanting a truck, something to throw shit in the back and go. I ended up with an 86 Chevrolet Blazer 7.5L V8, Manual Locking Hubs, 31Gal Fuel Tank.

The interior is a bit sketchy.... ripped up drivers seat, dirty carpet and the exterior has minor surface rust... but the undercarriage is great.. Most of these vehicle you see a lot of surface rust if not Cancer. This puppy still looks nice. She is fully original so it will take some time but she will go under the knife little by little.

First comes a 6" Lift and some 35" KM2s. - Anyone have any shops to recommend around the area for lift work, general mechanic work... how about good pricing on tires? I look forward to just getting out a bit more often. -Hector

Sorry to bust your bubble...but you have been wheeling with far more Chevys than I have. Most FJ40 carry a Chevy Heart.. So good luck with that one. ..OUCH....
Not the all of them.. in fact there lot who prefer the 6 over the V8..

congrats, Hector! does that mean you'll still be making it out to SnT?
That is the plan.

this should last me for a while........ There are a lot of little things I need to do before I begin to do any crazy mods.. but i am already wishing.
Sorry to burst your bubble honey but I have not wheeled with 40"s. We will take this to the trail.
I am sure that with all the events you have been to you have wheeled with at least 1 or 2 40s... Perhaps not directly but.. I am sure they have been there.
BTW here is a Chevy Powered 55.
