From SEMA, the last TT is an Ultimate Edition, I like the beadlocks.

AFAIK, the "beadlocks" are the fake beadlocks that toyota has been putting on the other TT models.

the 2012s didn't come with them we got the blacked out 6 spoke

ahh, well i know some of the other years did.

They are a good looking wheel, but not real beadlocks.

Right, as I alluded, I like the "looks" of the beadlocks.

I think the only DOT approved  beadlocks are Hutchenson's, but that brings up other arguments about legality, do you need DOT approval?

The only time I have heard that you do is when driving across state lines to Moab. Have heard the state police will trailer your rig if you try to enter with non-DOT beadlocks. I suppose otherwise how would anyone know unless pulled over?

The expense for a manufacturer to get DOT approval is too much for the small market out there.

So, as usual, buyer beware.
