FJ Cruisers of Northern California
There seems to be enough interest in the FunJunkie shindig to move forward with
camping/busing plans...so here we go!
We will be camping at San Onofre State Beach and
you will be responsible for booking your own campsite through www.reserveamerica.com.

1. Group camping is no longer available for 9/18, but there
is plenty of camping on the beach (Bluff side). BOOK NOW!! Try to book yourself
in any of the sites numbered 140 and higher.
I have booked site #172 and BoBoNel and TOE 4x4
will be splitting my site.
Campsites are $35 per night plus $8
registration fee. Fees include 1 vehicle only, additional vehicles (up to 2
additional) are an additional charge per vehicle.
*BRING WOOD*
2. If you are camping and taking the group bus, meet on
Saturday, September 18th at 12:30 at San Onofre State Beach (please be parked
and ready to go by 12:30) and I will schedule the bus to pick us up there.
Check in is not until 2pm, but we should be able to get in early. PLEASE
DO NOT BE LATE as the bus is bookable by the hour.
The bus service I have found is a simple school
bus and we are not allowed to drink on the bus. But hey, it's cheap and it's
not that far from Stone to the beach! The Saturday rate for the bus is $360 for
the first 5 hours, so the more people we have participating, the cheaper it
will be for everyone! And you can drink as much as you want at Stone without
having to worry about driving.
3. If you are not camping, you will not be able to park at
San Onofre State Beach. But if you want to ride the bus, you will park at
Westfield Plaza Camino Real on the North side of Macy's. Just gather in a group
and moon every school bus you see, and you'll know it's right school bus if it
stops to pick you up. We should be there by 1pm.
4. We'll hit Stone by 1:30pm and have a few beers, lots of
laughs, and a few appetizers. We'll be boarding the bus again by 4:30pm, so
please help gather all our friends so we can head back to camp.
5. Once we get back to camp (or drop off at the mall), we'll
settle in and do the usual thing. Since it's not a group camp, we'll probably
we wandering around camp to camp to visit our peeps. Bring food, bring wood,
bring booze...
