Event Description
Desert Camping, Trails and Mine Exploring.
We will be leaving Lompoc Starbucks, 1436 North H St, Thursday March 24th at 6AM and heading to Mojave. We will meet up in Mojave (location to be determined) at 10AM then head into Last Chance Canyon to set up a base camp, do some trails, exploring and hiking. We will head home Sunday, Mar 27th.
Everyone is welcome to join us. This will be a primitive camp with no toilets or showers.

Sorry we flaked out at the last minute guys. The weather was so bad up here on Friday, we never left... Hope you guys found some dry spots here and there.

oil changed and new (stock) bumper installed! tomorrow after a shatty day of work, drop the puppy dog off at a co-workers place for the weekend and load up the truck!

See you Friday, not sure where we will be camped, give me a call when you get close. We are going to run some other trails around the area so I should have cell service at some point Friday and will have a better location for you.

Just got the clear from my boss, so I do not have to fly on Sunday out of town. Meaning Donna and I will hit the road as soon as we can Friday afternoon for a late arrival that same night, so count us in.

John, we can do some mine exploring at the High Sierra Run. I have the GPS set to that narrow gauge train platform or station we found in the sage brush. Plenty left there that is not very well known.

Begrudgingly, I must pass on this too, ARGH!!!
At best my gears will be in Tuesday night and my steering might happen this weekend, and Moab is coming too soon. Gotta put down some easy miles first so you guys have a ball and maybe we can do something else out there in the fall when it cools down, I love that part of the world so any excuse works.
