Event Description

Every year Shaver Lake has a fireworks display over the lake wich can be seen very well from the top of Bald Mountain. This year it will be on July 7th. It is an easy trail with some side atractions like Posi rock, V rock and hollywood hill. All skill levels can run this trail with no damage to your rigs even if its stock with street tires. Ill be heading up friday the 6th to gain a camping spot below the trail head.

Seen here is the route from prather to your next turn which is 168 its not to far from town as you can see

When you hit prather aberry road Y's into 168 you will stay straight as shown.

Millerton road will dead end into a T which is Aberry road you will make a left untill you hit prather

For those that want to come up later and need directions Ill post these maps to help you find your way this is from the park and ride through friant. stay on 145 and go through the light at 145 and 41, it will wind around to a stop sign make a right on rd206 this will take you to friant, Just after crossing the river you will hit a stop sign(there are gas stations here) you will the make a left on millerton road.

heading south bound on 99 this is your route through Madera. Get off on the 4th street exit and make a left(head south), then make another left on yosemite (east) this is also 145 so follow 145 till you hit 41(its about a 20 min drive) the park and ride is on the right at the stop light.

@manoweb They have it on the 7th because its the weekend. @ Jason you can leave when ever you feel you need to. On a side note this trail would be good for the first timmer to get in some day time and night time wheelin..

But sorry for the stupid question, normally in USA fireworks are on July 4th, isn't it? Why do they make them on July 7th?

Is it necessary to stay overnight for this trip or would it be possible to leave in the dark after the fireworks?
