Event Description

I am planning an Install Day at my place in January. (About 45 miles East of Sacramento, near Placerville) If Santa was good to you, there may be some presents that need installing at that time! If Santa was not good to you, you are still welcome to come by.

I am thinking January 15th is going to be the date.

I will provide Burgers, Dogs and drinks, we can do a potluck for the rest.

This will be "weather permitting" due to the time of the year. I will have the woodstove going so we can thaw out occasionally!

If it does start to rain I can probably fit two FJs in the garage.

If there is interest we can hit Iron Mountain Road for some snow afterward.

Potluck List
Ghost - Eggrolls & Chicken

PotatoMutato (maybe) - Pizza

TRDMedic - Snacks/Chips

ProgRock - Cookies or something like that

Seth - Macaroni Salad

MoreFJland - a dessert

I was just going to get new top hats but even with my discount I was looking at $60 for each tophat with hardware. I'll go and see if I can get a lower price on the top hats and hardware. I'll let you know if I will need your spring compressor. Also how early can I arrive DWH? Figure since we have a few installs I would like to get a early start.

Ok no problem on the food.  My spring compressor is a professional wall mounted unit.  will have to bolt it to something to use it.  If the suspension guy doesn't mind buying new hats are the dealer I can build the assembly here.  I dont think they are crazy expensive.

Seth, I am at Costco getting soda now. I have some beer at home as well. Can you bring some macaroni salad and the spring compresssor.

So I can help with the CB/Ham Radio installs, I'm an electronics engineer with lots of experience with this kind of stuff.  I could also take my spring compressor off the wall if we really need to ... or if the suspension guy has new factory hats i could build his struts ahead of time.

If anyone needs me to bring tools let me know.  I have just about everything.

I might do my body mount chop,  If so I will bring my welder as well.

PM me for questions on anything in this post.

I can bring drinks.  Sodas and beer?

It is raining pretty hard right now, but Saturday should be clear and 60 degrees, perfect!

If you are doing mods, you may want to bring an old blanket or some cardboard to sit or lay on while you are working. The asphalt could still be damp/wet and will be cold.

Here are a few. I have not been to any of them. A Googles search will turn up quite a few more.

Hey DWH, is there a tire shop not too far from your place? I was going to just take the struts and springs to a tire shop to mount rather than use a spring compressor. I will be instaling a OME kit.

I will have Sodas covered. If you want to bring the other stuff, that would be great.
