FJ Cruisers of Northern California

I have a 2008 FJ with a factory roof rack on it. I don't plan to do any other mods but we'll see. Thats what I said when I had my diesel and well I modded the heck out of it. I live in San Jose but grew up in San Mateo. I am around I'll holler if i see you

Lol we will see how long I can resist temptation
Nice, welcome, i'm a mateo native as well. See you on the dirt.
Ok this lasted 24 hrs I think, I have found a mod. F me.
Welcome to the Darkside
You know, it only takes one mod to start the wildfire... You'll catch yourself look at your checking account and thinking, "Do I really need to pay that bill on time?  I'd really like a new bumper!!!"   Welcome Matt!
Found a light bar with four lights on top for 130 bucks that I like. The FJ doesn't have enough lighting for my taste. Two little lights in the front and tiny ol ones on the mirrors don't cut it.
Ok wait a minute here didn't you just get through saying no mods?  Now you want to change rims. tires and lights.  Let the chaos begin!
If the price of gas keeps going up there may be no money for mods!  Does anyone but me use their FJ to commute other than a few miles?  The roads driving to Santa Barbara are killing my windshield.  Starting to look like I have been sprayed by buckshot!  Replaced the windshield in late October and it's already a mess.  WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

i think things tend to get worse in the winter with all the rain and snow bringing residual onto the roads. oddly enough, my commute is now 60 miles a day and i haven't had one ding since my cross-windshield crack i suffered last year. knock on wood.

welcome to the site, Matt! another San Matean here.
Thanks. I have 50 mile commute myself
Is that mileage one way our round trip?  For me it's... 67 miles one way. :=(
Sup Matt, I live in San Jose also and  have a 2007 Black 4x4 auto.  Since we all live close by we should all try to organize a trail run.  I've never taken the FJ off road so it would be nice go with some FJ guys to guide me.

If you see me on the road don't hesitate to say hi, I've got the Toyota of Redlands on my license plate...
