This is a LED vs. Halogen Comparison Sheet in case someone is in the market for off road lights and are looking at LED light bars. This will give you an idea of how bright LED light bars are. The LED Bars have such a low power draw it is hard to tell wich is brighter. I hope this helps you.

Interesting but a fair comparison should include price/lumen and compare LED vs HID, not regular halogen.
In any case, what is the source of this file, who made it?
I was thinking the same.
Most of the cost information per luman is from grow light websites. I am trying to find the PDF I found with the $.02 per luman LED and $.40 per Luman H.I.D.. writen by a Doc at UCSB.
Go Gauchos...woot woot!
LED is $.02 per Luman to $.40 per Luman with H.I.D... The source for my information is from.

http://visionxsuperstore.com/XMITTER8SingleStackLEDLightBarFloodBea...

and from other LED Bar makers.
One 8" LED light bar with 12-3watt bulbs makeing 2160 lumans is 0.042 per hour of use. 2160luman/50,000 hour bulbs

Three 6" round 55watt Halogen bulbs Lights makeing 2160 Lumans is a 1.08 per hour of use. 2160luman/2000hour bulbs

One Luman is a measure of how much light one birthday candle lights a room until it burns itself out. "Well; in Easy Terms." LOL

So if you take how much you spend on your lights and divide that by how long they last. That will give you a price of how much per luman cost. But then you are not takeing in accout of cost power. Price of FJ, plus price of lights and..........
"makeing 2160 lumans is 0.042 per hour of use"
What is the unit of measure here? I do not understand.

LEDs might have a 50k-100k hours life, but they do degrade constantly with time; higher temperatures accelerate this process.

Your definition of Lumen is... funny :) :) :)
I kept on wondering my unit convertion. I think I ment watt hours of use. Showing that LED's last longer per the same amount of lumans produced useing less power.
LED's have a bigger geek factor...i choose them :-)
Well that settled it for me !! heheeh
I like them. I am putting a 8" Bar on the back and one on each side plus one 42" bar on the roof. With LightForce Striker 170's on the front winch bumper.
people are going to mistake you for a URO -- Unidentified Rolling Object.
