rear upper control arm bushing

Those aren't your rear swaybar links, those are your rear upper control arms. Can you explain what you mean by "giving out" / "threads are broken"?

the bolt that goes through it became loose. I took it to toyota and that's what they put in my receipt. "Suggest new spindle and sway bar link."

Call ap and get a new bolt and poly bushing. While your at it, change all of your poly bushings.
