Site maintenance tonight (8/09/10) 11pm
All,
Tonight at sometime after 11pm PDT we will be making a domain change for the Norcal FJs site.
When the change is made you will be able to just type norcalfjs.com to come to the site rather then the norcalfjs.ning.com.
Yes we tried this last week with some major issues and had to revert back to the current state, however we have made some changes in the way we are making the change and have the up most confidence that the domain change will go without any issues this time.
FAQ.
Q. Why are we making the change since it works now?
A. Yes we know it works now, however we want to be able to incorporate more features in the future and having our own domain for the core of the site will allow is to expand beyond just ning.
Q. Will my old links to the site still work?
A. Yes they should.
Q. What if I have a problem after 11pm.
A. Send a email to support@norcalfjs.com and we will look to troubleshoot the issue. If you are having a problem make sure to send a copy of a traceroute in your email.

- in OSX or Linux go to the terminal and type traceroute norcafjs.com
- in Windows goto start -->run-->type cmd -->then type tracert norcalfjs.com
