axe & shovel mounts

is there an axe & shovel mount that will go on the stock FJ roof rack? and will lock up like the one made by/for the "defender" roof racks?

I don't know about locking, but Fourtreks makes one for the OEM roof rack. I have the shovel mount and it works great. It's a tad bit pricey though.

Fourtreks makes a whole series of mounts. I have the HiLift mount and the twin tool axe/shovel mount. As Mark says, they're not cheap. Also, they don't lock... I use a steel cable and weather proof padlock for mine.

i just found a lockable one @ offroadunlimited.com.only $36.and i think i can modify it to fit my OEM rack.will post photos if it works.

I have the Demello Hi-lift mount and just bought the FourTrek PullPal and Shovel/Axe mounts. All of them are pricey, but very well made. Use a cable lock for the Hi-lift and PullPal and it would be nice to be able to lock the ShovelAxe in place too.

I have the Garvin Wilderness Axe Shovel mount, like the others it is a tad pricey but it's stout. I also have their Hi-Lift mount.

I use a cable and pad lock to deter those shady folk that think they need my cheap shovel and axe more than I do.
