WAMP Transportation thread Aug 8th,2009 (New Thread)

Ok I just confirmed with Jay from WAMP that they need rigs for the last weekend of WAMP Sat Aug 8th. I did this the extraction run last year and we need to be at the main staging area no later then 8am in the morning so we can get into the camp by 9:30-10am for load and then the drive out. expect to be done with the campers by 1pm, at that time we can decide to run the trail there or another one in the area.

From the first thread I'm taking the interested list.

We will be limiting this event to 15 rigs total. Those that have already confirmed and those that signed up on the first thread get priority, anyone beyond the first 15 will be on a standby. Only reason we are limiting is that we don't want to overload the trail with folks.

1. OPG (+2 and gear)
2. PotatoMutato (3 + gear)
3. DHeigher (3 +Gear)
4. EstySalinas (2 + gear) with dog
5. Mrs Bozly (2 + gear)
6. Bigfish (2+ gear)
7. Marauder713 (2 + gear)
8. PBn'Fj (3 +Gear)
9. Bob (3 +Gear)
10. Boss73 (3 +Gear) and trailer for taters stuff.
11.
12.
13.
14.
15.

Bold means confirmed
Please respond to this thread with how many people you can carry plus their gear also if you plan on bring a dog please indicate that, and I will update this list with Jay from WAMP with our numbers Also let us know when your heading up to the area so we can know who's getting there when. Mutato will be taking care of the camping info for those that are going to camp the night before.

Any and all updates will now be contained in this thread

Link below has the meeting point at Plumas State Park. We will be meeting here at 8:00 AM leaving at 8:15am for Hawely Lake.

Okay, I am not getting back to San Jose until midnite Friday. Bob and I will drive up as soon as the rig is loaded but we are riding together now that we have to pull an all-nighter to get there.
what you don't have the Coffee IV drip mod in your FJ done yet
try one of DaveF2's favorite beverages!
Those 18 hour energy drinks make me nervous.... might never come down.....
I just want to say thanks to everyone that came out, for this run. It went really well and I think we all had a great time with the kids, and the runs after we were done.

Look for information to be posted for WAMP 2010 next June/July.

As well as some fund raising to help sponsor a camper next year, Mrs Bozly looks to have a great idea for a kick off for that so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Thanks again everyone.
Great time,Fantastic people and a wonderful cause.. It was a great time

We could not have picked a better bunch of people for this run... I think I have told at least 20 people today how good those Baja Tacos were and the blue fun !! Great work Big Fish and , Maurader + girlfriend..

Also thanks to Mrs Bozly for All she did to make sure we all had somehting to eat and always bringing fantastic wine....

Can not wait until next year..

WOW! What a great trip and FJers. It was nice to get back into an area I working in a number of years ago. The night rain run with Steve and the ridge runs where off the scale for me. Our side trip (lighting run) to Walker Mine and the nearby lookout was fun for the peeps and me. Anytime I can get into a mining area is a good time. The food was great and all the cool camp gear that everyone had was fun see and talk about. I need to revamp!

Shall I post up the "Camp Fire Music"? Steve might want to preview (filter) the vid first. It is great.

I have been non-stop since we returned so I have not had a lot of time to post pics and discussion - but I will! Off for more fish now. I have a mission request for "belly meat"... Be back soon.
uh-oh...there was video footage taken during the campfire? heheheh
Oh man we had fun on this run, a fantastic group dynamic, a sweeeet camp spot with a lot of good food and then there was the extraction of campers and gear. What a cool thing to be a part of, kudos to opg for all the hard work on setting this up and we're in for sure next year.

And the FJ's being the hit of the gig... icing on the cake.
hey Josh, thanks for rounding us all up again for this great cause. i had a blast!
