FJ Cruisers of Northern California
So many of you have seen my rig and know i have quite few electricl "do-dads". I started with a simple 8 slot fuze block, but over the years more things were added and as a result, more single fuse holder were added on. This made for messy wiring and a lot of curits tapped into one another. So i felt it was time to start a re-wire. The only question was were to start and what kind of fuze block to use.
Many here know that I work in the emergency vehicle field and wire police, fire, and medical vehicles on a daily basis with all the emergency lighting and computer/camera equipment. at first i was going to design my own harness as i ussualy do for all my prodjects, but then i came upon a deal that i just couldn't refuse.
I came across a pre-made harness made by a company called patrol power. They specialise in making professional wiring harnesses for emergency vehicle applications. They make vehicle specific as well as universal applications. The harness i have is there universal model. Just think of it as an SPOD on steriods.
Now for most this is absolute overkill and i don't recomend it for its cost by itself. I myself won't be using all of the avaible slots, but its nice to know i can add on electrical componets as i please. I'll keep everyone posted with updates as i begin the stripout of all the old wiring and fuse block as well as the install of the new harness. If you have any questions reguarding the harness or wiring just let me know. Thanks for looking.

DUDE!!!! THAT"S FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn...that looks crazy. Can't wait to see the final product
Just about done! Siren/switch box is programmed and powered up!! All thats needed to to relocate the A-TRAC, DIFF-LOCK, Powere inveter and back up sensor switches that the Cen Com control panel is now taking the place of the factory switch location.
I'm really happy how everything turned out. The Cen com is awesome! Controls all my Roof mounted lights, as well as all my "emergency" lights. Also works as my new PA and Air horn. Now this is a police siren, but since i'm not an emergency vehicle, all emergency tones have been dis-activated. Also while re-wiring, i did something i've been wanting to do for a while now. I installed a momentary foot switch that activates the KC lights on the roof. Purpose? I get high beamed alot, and this way with a quick press of my left foot, i can flash oncoming traffic and let them know what realy bright lights are!
Also started prepping for my second battery. Got an Optima Battery from a friend for cheap, and my good buddy Tom made and mounted a battery tray. Now just waiting for my 200amp soliniod to show up and i'll be part of the dual battery club!
Pics coming soon!
