FJ Cruisers of Northern California

I'm thinking of trekking up to Bear Valley this Sunday for a little snow fun - mostly because my wife has never seen any - yea i know... bad husband!!

I have new 285/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs which have the snow emblem rating, but is there a chance I will also need chains? If I do, any suggestions on which kind/type/brand I should pick up?

And if anyone else wants to drive on up with us, well by all means!!

Thanks!

:-)

Never been to Dodge Ridge before - whats it like ??

It's similar to bear valley. In my opinion it's a little bigger, but they're both pretty nice

No no, Didge Ridge is a tiny hill!  Bear Valley is a real ski resort.  they are not even close to the same category...

Well ... it was awesome and my wife had the time of her life!

It snowed pretty much the whole time (the one thing she absolutely had to see), Bear Valley Ski Resort was closed because of a power outage (too much snow!) but was giving away free coffee and hot chocolate, we sleded and tubed until we couldn't breathe anymore, and pigged out on pizza and IPA's!!

On a technical note - the Wrangler Duratracs are an amazing sno-tire. We plowed through some really deep stuff on a few occasions, and the rig just kept a goin` and goin` and goin`....

The best snow day ever!   (wish you guys were there...)

Cool picture!

Thanks Cowboy !

btw - the wife wants to get the same pink camo shorts you gave our niece. Let me now when/where/$ !

Great pic!

Pictures like these make me realize what a horrible photographer I am. Great pic!

I tried to post these yesterday, but something didn't work.

Trying again....

And another....

niiice!!  nothing like a lil extra padding to make the rig extra comfy!
