The idea is cool, but looks like a lot of stress on that dinky little cotter pin.  2007fj's disconnect seems like a better solution, too bad he is no longer making them.

Yeah. I really like 2007fj design but no longer made. I would be on it if he was selling them.

I thought the same thing at first, but if you look at JKS's sway bar disconnects, the only thing holding them together is a cotter pin as well. 

I ran those for years with no problems, as have thousands of other wheelers.
