Howdy!
I'm sure someone will give a good off-road choice or two. If you are just looking for a trip, I'd say......Yosemite!
Yeah, I'd say that to, though I know a bar owner in Twain Harte, so up in the trails above there might be cool. Plus, an open tab when we get back down the hill is always nice.
Welcome to the family :) you'll fall in love more every day
Oh man... I'm going nuts. This is hands down the coolest ride I've ever owned! I'm officially putting it higher on the list than my old '67 Camero I dropped a Corvette engine in.
Thank you. As time goes on and I get more comfortable toolin' around in this magnificent machine, I'm sure I'll be meeting many folks on here.
Thanks guys! I'm going nuts on all the mods my FJ can handle. From bully bars and fog lights to tent tops and functioning refrigerators... not to mention going over boulders one tire at a time! I can see this is going to be quite the pleasurable addiction!!! As time goes on, I hope to add to our collective obsession.
Oh... as a working photographer, I bought the FJ as a tool for my craft (not only to get me to impossible places for shots, but as a studio on wheels). I think I've seen some pictures of mods that are basically a stable working platform over the drivers area for setting up a tripod with a tent space in back. Any links to some good how-to on this?
Come up to the Long Canyon Trail clean up this weekend. There are some photo ops up there. And it is a fairly easy trail to break it in.
And welcome as well.
