Lost My Best Trail Buddy Ever Avalon

I wanted to let those of you who knew Avalon that she lost her battle with cancer this last week. She was always ready for the trail rides and made it to many Hollister trips, Slick Rock, Grass Valley, Hungry Valley, High Sierra runs and Death Valley. She graced us with 15 full years of her great spirit and great companionship. She is already missed deeply.

God Speed Avalon.

Will take a road trip this spring and spread her ashes near Death Valley where we had many fun camping trips.

So sorry for your loss. The feeling is still very fresh for us too. She will be playing happily with Tabu and Blaze without a care in the world, or out of this world.

She had a great long life.

Yah, can't remember if she meet both or not. I am sure they will meet up trying to figure out who wants to be trail leader and who wants to be tail gunner. Thanks all for the kind words. Amazing are these "dogs".

i'll miss ol' Avy. whenever i'd see her after a long time, she walk over to me to greet me as if she were an old friend. i'll also remember when she affectionately laid a steamer right behind me while i was cooking one night on our Slick Rock run. not too many people can have that claim to fame! lol
