Cold air in-take?

aFe or TRD... but they are essentially the same thing. I've heard K&N's aren't that great on FJs.

I'm installing the aFe one this weekend.  I'll let you know how it goes, but from what I have heard its pretty easy.

Anybody just do a high flow filter to the stock box?

there are a few FJ folks here that run a high flow in the stock box

I looked online for the aFe cold air intake and they don't have one for 2011 fj. TRD dosen't even make them anymore. That is what I was told. Any places or ideas from anyone?????

Well aFe makes it for TRD, they just slap the brand name onto it. I wasn't aware about them not making it anymore though.

I bet ya a older one will work, come one by and I'll pull mine off for cleaning and we see if it fits!

Make sure you shop around as prices can vary a lot online. I went with the TRD and a snorkel. All good

I just installed the aFe, and it's Freekin' AWESOME! I was amazed how aggressive and loud it is!!! I would have bought Scouts in a heartbeat if I hadent ordered mine already. P.S. Prices are all over the place on these, I got mine on Amazon new for $240 shipped with a free car care kit.

I'm rocking the TRD CAI and love it. I had my local Toyota Dealer install it and they gave me a deal. I noticed way more pep right off the bat. It has tapered down a little, but still gets it. Mileage wasn't effected that much but is a little noticeable. It has now 3-4 times blown codes (trac control, check engine, etc.) and twice it has reset itself, the other times I brought it back into Toyota and they said ya it happens nothing major just a mass air sensor issue...? Again some don't like the TRD CAI, some prefer the UDR CAI, or others but I have been loving the TRD and highly recommend it.
