Walt, my man, we definitely have to wheel together again !! I think I know the rock you mean where you saw the bottom of my rig. It must be the one where my bumper hit, followed by my rear hitch when I settled down!

You gonna make Hollister Hills? If so I'll see you there.

Glad you like the decal.  Looks like your rear wiper won't run over it.  I put mine right in the path of the wiper, so I'll have to see how it holds up.

It was excellent establishing basecamp on Wednesday bro!  All of the other early bird S-n-T'ers party like a bunch of ladies.

Thx brother.   You got a good looking FJ too!  I picked mine up at Sunnyvale Toyota.  If you're interested, check out my for sale thread for a Gobi Rack.  Hope to wheel with you someday.

there are a lot of philosophical ramifications when it comes to addressing your conundrum...even the logical solution may be misconstrued as being illogical. probably best suited to ponder over a few man sodas.

please don't convert your truck to Patron-powered...you'll never have enough left for the truck.

finally took my truck in. They made the shaking worse and agreed the breaks are clicking and should not be, but had no idea why they were.
All in all not so good.

Thank you for your concern.

My family and I have no damage.
I rather feel shocked to know many other people are greatly suffering in other areas.

I am deeply delighted that you are worried about me and faraway Japan.

Thank you too much..

No pictures of the new rack?

I did get your response...unfortunately my wife and I were both sick at SnT so we really only hung out for about 2.5 hours. I did get a bit of lift envy though since 90% of the trucks had some lift :-)

I will probably bring it in to be safe, it is pretty noticable so I would think if others were feeling it there would be something about it on the forums.

Yeah the vibration is not too bad right now but def there. Let me know what they say about the click, mine pretty much happens every third brake push and is 100% of the time when the shwoosh sound of the brake booster goes off.

ya they RFB my front tires and it helped, but only for about 200 miles, it came back today. Not super bad or annoying yet. The RFB also takes about 30 minutes a tire. Going to add some more psi to the tires to see if it helps, noticed they are only at 32 instead of the TRD wheel recommended 35. Do not expect that to help much but some folks on the blue room said it reduced it some for them. (less rubber flopping around I suppose)

there is a machine that loads the tire with 1500-ish lbs and then balances it

BFG KO's are known for this issue they need to be road-forced balanced
At 5:09pm on August 23, 2010, Lance said…
the shake is a steering wheel vibration that lots of people (especially 2010 TT drivers) are experiencing. it is basically a tire balance issue but seems to be worse on the TT's. some people are claiming a bad batch of BFG AT's, some say its some harmonic balance issue between the tire and the rim. The guys at the blue room forums seem to be getting no results from Toyota, some have replaced their tires on Toyotas dime with good results, some with worse results. One guy who is actually a toyota employee got them to replace his bfg's with wrangler MT kevlars and he say the vibration is gone now. On mine they said they balanced the tires and it did go away but I have a bit of a highway vibration coming from the rear so I think they may have just rotated the problem to the rear...only time will tell, Only other issue I notice is a click in my brake pedal about every other time
