Very good to know.  I think I remember a Holiday Inn there.  We had hiked down to The White House last time, but would be able to cover much more ground in FJ.  Thanks so much.

It was an awesome trip did a lot of cool trails. There is a hotel right before the visitor center and from the gift shop in the hotel they set us up with a guide and it was cheaper to take our vehicle then it was to jump in theirs. I think we spent $100 for a 4 hr trip up the canyon. It was really cool and definitely a plus having a Navajo in the truck with you who could tell you what was what.

What an awesome trip this must have been.  How were you able to drive your vehicle down there?  I knew that you needed a local Navajo to take you but didn't know you can bring your own rig.  Any help would be appreciated, as I am headed that way in Nov.
